\nJay Leno brought his own fire truck to serve food to first responders battling deadly LA fires: \u2018It\u2019s unbelievable\u2019
\nAmid the Los Angeles fires, the former late-night host, 74, has been driving to relief sites in his own fire truck to feed the first responders.\n
On Monday, Leno spoke with CNN\u2019s Anderson Cooper in an impromptu interview about the disaster relief he is providing to those working around the clock to put out the blazes.\n

As winds are expected to reach up to 70 mph between Tuesday, Jan. 14, and Wednesday, Jan. 15, Leno told Anderson, 57, he \u201cdrove a 1941 American LaFrance fire truck\u201d to lend a hand and teased, \u201cIt\u2019s good to have your own fire truck when you live in LA.\u201d

\n\u201cWe\u2019re cooking for the crew,\u201d the comedian elaborated. \u201cWe\u2019ve got a big barbecue going. They\u2019re all getting boxed lunches, so we figured let\u2019s get some hot food.\u201d\n

Leno also volunteered at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Sunday, Jan. 12, revealing to Cooper that he will also visit other locations over the next week.\n
\u201cIt\u2019s unbelievable. It\u2019s the biggest natural disaster, not that 9\/11 was a natural disaster, but it\u2019s literally on that scale,\u201d continued Leno. \u201cIt\u2019s 10,000 buildings. I mean, if you drove all day, you couldn\u2019t see 10,000 buildings.\u201d\n
The writer added that it \u201clooks like Hiroshima,\u201d and although he\u2019s heartened by the sense of community he\u2019s witnessed, \u201cIt\u2019s a shame that [a wildfire] is what it takes.\u201d\n

\u201cI try to look at the bright side of things,\u201d Leno quipped. \u201cThe last time I remember was 9\/11. The sense of community for three or four days, everybody put aside their political beliefs. It\u2019s happening here today.\u201d\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an entire city wiped out,\u201d Leno continued. \u201cPacific Palisades, it doesn\u2019t exist and probably won\u2019t exist for the next four, five years. I don\u2019t know how you rebuild from this.\u201d\n
Giving a nod to the City of Angels, he added, \u201cBut we\u2019ll get through it. We always do.\u201d\n

Jamie Lee Curtis also spoke out about the state of Los Angeles, comparing its fire-ravaged neighborhoods to war-torn countries in the Middle East.\n
\u201cThe entire Pacific Palisades looks like, you know, unfortunately, Gaza or one of these war-torn countries where awful things have happened,\u201d the actress, 66, said during a Q&A for \u201cThe Last Showgirl\u201d posted to X.\n
Days before, the \u201cFreaky Friday\u201d star fought tears as she spoke about the \u201ccatastrophe\u201d of the Palisades Fire that hit the coastal neighborhood where she has lived for decades.\n
