Scrub the interior of the tank and toilet bowl, wipe down the exterior, and dry.\n</p><h4>3. Clean the Garbage Can\n</h4><p>Your kitchen garbage can is constantly exposed to all kinds of raw and cooked food waste.\n</p><p>It\u2019s no wonder it\u2019s one of the germiest, most bacteria-ridden places in your home. Here\u2019s one of the best hydrogen peroxide hacks I know of to get rid of bacteria.\n</p><p>Spray the entire interior and exterior of the garbage can with hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse, dry, and replace the trash bag.\n</p><h4>4. Keep the Shower Clean\n</h4><p>Mix \u00bd cup hydrogen peroxide, \u00bd cup rubbing alcohol in an opaque spray bottle.\n</p><p>Mix gently and spray down shower walls after the last shower each day.\n</p><p>Some people will tell you to add dishwashing detergent to the mixture. Since this is a leave-in spray, I\u2019ve never done that.\n</p><p>You\u2019re supposed to leave this mixture on once you spray it, and I don\u2019t know about you, but I already have enough trouble keeping up with soap residue and buildup in the shower.\n</p><h4>5. Scrub with a grout brush, wipe clean and let dry. Repeat as necessary.\n</p><p>If you need a little extra scrubbing power, you can add baking soda, but you\u2019ll need to rinse well to remove all of the residues.\n</p><h4>6. Remove Mold and Mildew\n</h4><p>Too much moisture in your home can cause a buildup of mold and mildew which is difficult to clean.\n</p><p>Completely wet the moldy or mildewy area with undiluted hydrogen peroxide. Remove Baked-On Gunk from Bakeware\n</h4><p>For stainless steel bakeware, mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide and 2 parts baking soda into a paste. Paint or smear onto bakeware and let sit for 1 hour. Scrub, rinse, and dry.\n</p><p>For aluminum alloy bakeware, I find that cream of tartar works better than baking soda.\n</p><h4>9. Sanitize Cutting Boards\n</h4><p>Cutting boards can get pretty nasty, and all of that nastiness is full of unhealthy foodborne germs.\n</p><p>Spray undiluted 3% hydrogen peroxide on cutting boards and let sit for 10 minutes. Rinse and dry.\n</p><p>If your white plastic cutting board is stained, spray it with hydrogen peroxide and leave it in the sun for an hour or two, then rinse and dry.\n</p><h4>10. Disinfect Dishwasher\n</h4><p>I always disinfect my dishwasher as part of my spring cleaning routine.\n</p><p>To disinfect your dishwasher, add 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide to the top rack and run your dishwasher cycle.\n</p><p>The hydrogen peroxide will kill any bacteria lingering in the dishwasher, and the interior will be sparkling clean.\n</p><h4>11. Remove Stains From Clothing &amp; Linens (especially blood stains)\n</h4><p>As with any colored fabric, always test in an inconspicuous area first.\n</p><p>Mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide, 1 part Dawn dishwashing detergent, and 1 part warm water.\n</p><p>Apply liberally to the stained area and let sit for 15 minutes. Scrub with a laundry scrub brush and check to see if the stain is gone. If not, apply more mixture and let soak another 15 minutes, then scrub.\n</p><p>Repeat the process above until the stain appears to be gone, then rinse and launder like normal.\n</p><p>Caution \u2013 Applying undiluted hydrogen peroxide can cause yellowing of light and white colored fabrics.\n</p><h4>13. Disinfect Metal Water Bottles\n</h4><p>You\u2019re protecting the environment by switching away from plastic water bottles, now make sure you\u2019re protecting yourself by keeping your new bottles clean.\n</p><p>Add 1\/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide to bottle, close lid, shake well, and release a little through the drinking spout. Let sit for approximately 10 minutes, then rinse clean.\n</p><h4>14. To clean, place your toothbrush in enough hydrogen peroxide to cover the bristles. Whitening Toothpaste\n</h4><p>Mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide and 2 parts baking soda into a paste, then use the paste to brush your teeth. Try leaving the paste on your teeth for approximately ten minutes to speed the whitening process. After ten minutes, brush, rinse and spit.\n</p><p>Do not swallow hydrogen peroxide in any concentration as it will likely cause stomach irritation and discomfort and can even cause internal burns if swallowed in large amounts.\n</p><h4>16. Cleansing Mouthwash\n</h4><p>Hydrogen peroxide mouthwash helps kill bacteria and eliminate bad breath. Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and water, swish, gargle, and spit.\n</p><p>Only mix enough for one use unless you\u2019re able to store it in an opaque container. You don\u2019t want the compound breaking down and becoming ineffective due to exposure to light.\n</p><h4>17. Foot Soak for Thick, Dry Heels\n</h4><p>Thick, dry heels are unsightly and embarrassing. They can also become painful if the dryness causes the skin to crack. Trust me, I know!!!\n</p><p>The hydrogen peroxide hack I use to fix my dry heels is to combine 2 cups of hydrogen peroxide, 2 cups of hot water, and 2 drops of your favorite essential oil in an appropriately sized soaking container. Soak your feet for 30 minutes, and pat dry.\n</p><p>Once your feet are dry, use a pumice stone to remove the softened dead skin. Wipe feet one more time to remove and dead skin residue, then apply a moisturizing lotion.\n</p><p>Beware if your heels are already cracked, you probably shouldn\u2019t use this foot soak.\n</p><h4>19. Treat Athletes Foot and Eliminate Odor\n</h4><p>As with the cracked heels, this method is not recommended if you have severe athletes\u2019 feet with open cracks or sores on your feet. If you\u2019re still at the itchy, smelly stage, try this.\n</p><p>Combine 2 cups of hydrogen peroxide and 2 cups of warm water. Soak feet for approximately 10 minutes at a time, in the morning and evening. Dry feet thoroughly including between your toes.\n</p><p>The peroxide kills the fungus causing the athlete&rsquo;s foot, and the bacteria causing the foot odor.\n</p><h4>20. Remove the cotton balls, then wash and dry hands, and apply a moisturizing lotion.\n</p><p>The second method is to make a paste of 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 2 parts baking soda, apply to nails and let sit 10-15 minutes.
