This morning I was sitting on a park bench next to a homeless man.\n
I started a conversation by asking him how he ended up this way.\n
He said, \u201cUp until last week, I still had it all.\n I had plenty to eat, my clothes were washed and pressed, I had a roof over my head, I had TV and Internet, and I went to the gym, the pool, and the library. I was working on my MBA on-line. I had no bills and no debt. I even had full medical coverage.\u201d\n I felt sorry for him, so I asked, \u201cWhat happened? D.r.u.9.s? Alc0h0l? Divorce?\u201d \u201cOh no, nothing like that,\u201d he said. \u201cNo, no. I got out of prison.\u201d\n \n Mike was going to be married to Jane, so his father sat him down for a little chat.\n He said, \u2018Mike, let me tell you something.\n On my wedding night in our honeymoon suite, I took off my pants, handed them to your mother, and said, \u2018Here, try these on!\n She did and said, \u2018These are too big, I can\u2019t wear them.\u2019 I replied, \u2018Exactly, I wear the pants in this family and I always will.\u2019\n Ever since that night we have never had any problems \u201dHmmm,\u2019 said Mike. He thought that might be good thing to try.\n On his honeymoon, Mike took off his pants and said to Jane, \u2018Here try these on.\u2019 She tried them on and said, \u2018These are too large, they don\u2019t fit me. \u2018\n Mike said, \u2018Exactly, I wear the pants in this family, and I always will. I don\u2019t want you to ever forget that.\u2019 Then Jane took off her pants, and handed them to Mike. She said, \u2018Here, you try on mine.\u2019\n He did and said, \u2018I can\u2019t get into your pants.\u2019 Jane said, \u2018Exactly.
